When Miss Yechance left North Yorkshire for Dubai, she carried the hopes of a young operation making its first full assault on the Dubai Racing Carnival. She came home a Carnival winner.
Settling in on the dirt
The campaign began on Meydan's dirt surface, where the filly ran a fine second in the Lincoln Aviator Stakes — first-time experience of the surface, against seasoned local rivals, and a clear signal that she had travelled well.
Carnival night, 9 January 2026
Switched to the turf for the DP World Express Handicap on Carnival night, she was sent off at 18/1. The market underestimated her. Under the Meydan floodlights she came home in front — a first Carnival winner for the Al Leith silks and the third victory of her career, an English-trained filly beating the locals at their own meeting.

Rounding off the winter
She was not finished. On 6 March 2026 she signed off her Dubai winter with another fine run on the Meydan dirt, finishing second in the Next Mile Stakes — her second runner-up finish of the campaign, in a season that saw Al Leith Racing sit among the top five in the UAE Owners Championship.
From the Yorkshire turf to the Meydan lights and back again: this is the campaign plan the operation was founded on, and Miss Yechance proved it works.
