Every racing operation remembers its first yearling. Ours cost £32,000 at the Goffs UK Premiere Yearling Sale — a chestnut filly by Cotai Glory out of Rosie Bassett, a Wootton Bassett mare, bred by Tally-Ho Stud and foaled on 7 February 2023. We named her Miss Yechance.
What we saw in her
The page offered speed on both sides: Cotai Glory a fast, precocious sire, and Wootton Bassett blood on the damside that has become some of the most sought-after in Europe. Tally-Ho Stud's draft is where sharp, early types are found — and that is exactly what our first season needed.
The return
The investment paid quickly. She won on her debut at Redcar in May 2025 — the stable's first winner in Britain — added the EBF Restricted Novice Stakes at Catterick that July, and in January 2026 won the DP World Express Handicap at the Dubai Racing Carnival at 18/1.
Her record now stands at twelve runs: three wins, two seconds and a third, with appearances at Royal Ascot (twice), Deauville and Meydan. For £32,000, Miss Yechance has given a young stable a flagship — and proof that the bloodstock side of the operation can find value where it matters.
