Every stable needs a young horse to dream on, and ours is Al Leith Thunder — a chestnut colt by Instagrand out of Vibrato, a daughter of Unbridled's Song, and the young standard-bearer of our Dubai string.
One start, one win
Trained in Dubai by Musabbeh Al Mheiri, Thunder went to the Meydan dirt for his racecourse debut and won. One start, one victory — the record every owner wants to protect and every trainer wants to build on.
Rated 95
The handicapper's verdict on that performance was a UAE rating of 95 — a mark that opens doors to the better dirt races at the Carnival and beyond. His pedigree says the surface is no accident: Instagrand was a brilliant dirt two-year-old in America, and Unbridled's Song blood runs through generations of top-class dirt performers.
Where he goes next will be decided with the same patience that has served the stable well. But a colt who is unbeaten at Meydan, bred for dirt and rated 95 after one start is entitled to have his connections excited.
