EBF Restricted Novice Stakes

Four weeks after taking on the country's best juvenile fillies in the Group 2 Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot, Miss Yechance returned to Yorkshire for the EBF Restricted Novice Stakes at Catterick Bridge — and delivered the stable's first stakes success in England.

Sent off the 4/6 favourite on the strength of her Redcar debut win and that Ascot experience, she was given a copybook ride by Callum Rodriguez. Always travelling like the best horse in the race, she kicked clear in the final furlong to win the five-furlong contest by a length and a quarter, stopping the clock at 59.12 seconds.

The win confirmed what Redcar had suggested: the operation's first yearling purchase was a filly capable of carrying the silks well beyond novice company. By the following January she would be a Carnival winner at Meydan.
