Palace of Holyroodhouse Handicap

A year on from her Queen Mary run as a juvenile, Miss Yechance carried the Al Leith silks at Royal Ascot for the second successive season, lining up in the Palace of Holyroodhouse Handicap on 19 June 2026.

Two Royal meetings in two seasons is a measure of the standards the operation sets itself. The meeting brings together the best sprinters in training, and having a runner there — first as a raw two-year-old, then as a Carnival-winning three-year-old — marks how far the stable travelled in twelve months.

The Royal Ascot appointment is one Al Leith Racing intends to keep. Between the two Ascots came wins at Catterick and Meydan, a Listed-race education at Deauville and a top-five place in the UAE Owners Championship — the foundations of many more June visits to Berkshire.
